Hi Andy

just a quick message to say thanks for this weekend, had a fantastic time ;).I can appreciate whats involved in organising an event on that scale but you mannaged to pull it off again.Credit to you and all the guys involved and please pass on my thanks to all involved.

And one final thanks for finding us Rab and John to team up with, cracking pair of lads, and on our wavelength ???.We may not have the money of some of the teams there but i doubt anyone else had more fun ;D See you soon Paul :-*

Andy,

Firstly - a huge thanks to you and the rest of the team for another fantastic event.  We found it more challenging and longer than last year however easier than the last of the Argyle events - you must be getting soft - only joking!

Secondly - can you please check our score as we did 3 stages on Saturday (12, 13 & 15 as 14 was busy) and 2 on Sunday (10 & 17).  We were supposed to start at Stage 15 on Sunday however since we had already done that one we swapped with Team 5 so maybe that's why our score is incorrect.  This is only important to stop team 14 boasting to us! [sorted! Team 12 did indeed do 2 sections on Sunday getting their cards so dirty in teh process I missed their marks on section 10 - Richard]

Thirdly - would it be possible to let us (Buchan Off-road) have any 'organisation' type information or guidance on how you got insurance and the MSA sorted out.  In our club, we are currently limited to orienteering type events (and the usual trials) but are considering a mini challenge in a local setting - not a rival I can assure you, its more to give us some practice so we don't prop up the bottom of the results table.  I haven't done much research yet in the 'Blue Book' however last time I looked it was rather scant with respect to "challenge events" even though they include for them on the permit application form.

Finally - can you pass our thanks on to the rest of your team for all their efforts.

Regards,

Ken Hutcheson

Another tough event by the TFC team. Enjoyed it immensely, especially the bit at the end. Thanks guys, I hope we will be back next year to defend the win.

Both trucks held up well, mine needed a fresh alternator, a tyre and a brake repair, Chris bust a brake hose and trapped his fuel line with the spare wheel so nothing too dramatic.

We had the rock crawl as our first section and just took the rest in sequential order as they came. Missed No 6 as it was blocked, no. 11 was something else!!

Hi Andy,

Would like to thank you and the rest of the team for another great weekend! Despite dropping out after only half a day I really enjoyed the event, both the fantastic course (better than ever!) as well as the social aspect of the weekend. Already looking forward to 2009!!!

Thanks!!!

Stefan

once again thanks to  yourself and the team for another great time in the forests of pitlochry. lets hope we are allowed back next year and that i have a team worthy of entering, if not rest assured i will happily marshal.

thanks are required for both days marshals, John and Ann for helping fix the steering guard Sat and Bob for boiling his engine trying to help Gavin fix his car sun shame he didnt fit the new alternator.

......

i dont think you could really improve for next year except for a tweak on the seatbelt rule, eg if you have a 4 point harness then you have to use all of it (willy and justin were not) they also had a warning for lack of winch sales from brad who enjoyed his weekend marshalling  a great deal.

helmets when worn must be fastened not left undone (several teams)

and the biggy 2 classes eg portals  v non portals. dont know how we achive fainess here but as you saw its a lot harder for std axles to cover same ground as portals.

dont know if its possible but i liked the mix of short and long sections i personally liked the rockier more tecnical stuff rather than the bogs but  i did think we were able to drive more this year.

regards team 3

ps justin deegan was a replacement for team 19
